Biexcess this didn't help. I just recently got a laptop for christmas a lenova and the last week or so at random times at start it freezes. Try to perform a Clean Boot and check if it helps.

You must log in or register to reply here. Now the bio-excess is gone and I have many files that are encrypted with the bio-excess. Unless Lenovo changes its policies, buying Bioexcess, or another third party application is your only option to get the fingerprint reader running.

Additionally you may check any logs related to start-up in event viewer and you may post back. Sometimes i can simply turn it off and on and it will be ok but sometimes it takes times to work.
